Resistance in Makhmour enters its 12th day
The people of Makhmour refugee camp have been resisting against the Iraqi army trying to surround the camp with wire fences and concrete blocks for 12 days.
Makhmour-Since the early morning of May 20, 2023, the Iraqi army has tried to surround the Martyr Rustem Cudi Camp (Makhmour Refugee Camp) with wire fences and concrete blocks while the residents of the camp have resisted the attempts of the Iraqi army.
On May 20, the Iraqi army opened fire on the people of the camp, injuring two people; one of them was seriously injured. According to the received reports, the injured people are not in a critical condition. The Iraqi army tries to intimidate the residents of the camp by cutting off the water source of the camp.
On the first day of the attacks of the Iraqi Army, the residents of the camp set up a tent to keep watch. Since then, they have been resisting and they have been determined not to take a step back.
