Protests in Iran: Death toll rises to 148
The Iran Human Rights and the Baloch Activist Campaign announced the number of people who were killed in nationwide protests in Iran.
News Center- The Iran Human Rights (IHR) announced the death toll of nationwide protests in Iran on Sunday, October 2. At least 92 protesters have been killed by Iranian security forces, according to the IHR. On Friday, the Baloch Activist Campaign announced that the total number of people, who were killed in recent protests, has reached 148.
The campaign group also announced the number of injured people. “More than 300 people have been injured”, the group said, emphasizing that the number of killed people will probably increase.
Protesters blocked road
Today, hundreds of people took to the Laleh-Zar Street of Tehran by chanting anti-regime slogans. In addition, university students held protests in Tehran and Mazandaran Province.
In Isfahan, protesters blocked the road to the Sejzi Industrial Zone.
University students took to the streets in Sanandaj and Kermanshah and chanted the “Jin, Jiyan, Azadi (Women, Life, Freedom)” slogan.
The Iran Human Rights and the Baloch Activist Campaign strongly condemned the attacks on protesters and the killing of protesters in Eastern Kurdistan and Iran by Iranian regime forces.
