People march in Hasakah to protest Turkish attacks
People of Hasakah held a march to protest the ongoing Turkish attacks on North and East Syria. “Stop the attacks,” the people shouted.
Hasakah- The people of Hasakah held a mass march yesterday to condemn the ongoing Turkish attacks on North and East Syria and to protest the targeting of women and children in the attacks. The protesters held banners condemning the attacks and calling on the international community to stop the attacks.
“Stop the ongoing attacks”
Soon after, the march turned into a demonstration with the participation of hundreds of people. Kongra Star member Êva Ebid El-Kerîm read a press statement on behalf of the people. Stating that human rights are violated by the Turkish state, Êva Ebid-El Kerîm said, “As everyone remembers very well, the Ottoman Empire committed many massacres before its fall. The Turkish state does the same thing now. We call on the international community and all governments to stop the ongoing attacks and fulfill their mission.”
“They are afraid of the new generation”
Kurdish language teacher Silava Ehmed thinks the ongoing attacks are the attacks on the “democratic nation” project. “The Turkish state is afraid of the new generation because the generation that grew up after July 19 have the philosophy of freedom.”
Teacher Hemrîn Silo recalled the children, who were killed in the Turkish attacks. “The international coalition is also responsible for the attacks and massacres carried out in North and East Syria.
