Peace Mother Hayriye Doğan dies
Peace Mother Hayriye Doğan, whose three children were forcibly disappeared in the 1990s, died of cancer at her home in Amed.
News Center- Hayriye Doğan, a member of Peace Mothers and the relative of disappeared, died of cancer at her home in Amed. A funeral ceremony was held for Hayriye Doğan at the Alipınar Cemetery with the participation of many people. Hayriye Doğan was buried next to his son Fahrettin Doğan, who was disappeared in the 1996s.
She looked for her children for years
For years, Hayriye Doğan looked for her children Fahrettin, Abdulkadir and Mehmet Ali Doğan, who were forcibly disappeared in the 1990s. She attended all protests held by Human Rights Association (IHD) with the motto, “Disappeared people must be found, and perpetrators must be tried” for years to find her children.
Hayriye Doğan was also a member of Peace Mothers demanding peace against wars, massacres, conflicts, and pressures.
