Razan Alsaafin, the Executive Director of the Ibn AlArabi Center for Culture and Publishing, spoke to NuJINHA about the initiative. “The idea of the initiative arose to change the dark reality of the Palestinian children influenced by the negative and frustrating messages carried by adults. The operetta aims to support the Palestinian children in order to voice their messages and demands by using several artistic ways, she said.
“Palestinian children are negatively affected by violence, destruction and siege. They are deprived of their childhood” she said, “Although the situation of children in Palestine is difficult, we see hope in their eyes.”
The aim is to build a renaissance generation
Hanadi Nasrallah, a board member of the Ibn AlArabi Center for Culture and Publishing, said, “This initiative aims to build a renaissance generation capable of facing the challenges that afflict the Palestinian cause, especially in light of the Israeli occupation destroying the future of the Palestinian children. The message given by the initiative is to end political and economic division, and find solutions to all the obstacles faced by children.”
