News Center- Nahid Shirpisheh, the mother of Pouya Bakhtiari who was shot and killed during the November 2019 uprising in Iran after petrol price hike, has been reportedly sentenced to five years in prison.

On July 11, 2022, Nahid Shirpisheh was arrested by Iranian security forces. On July 28, 2022, she was transferred to Kachooie Prison. According to the reports, the Kachooie Prison has denied the right of Nahid Shirpisheh to make phone calls or have family visitations since her transfer to the prison.
