Members of ‘Thousand Youths for Palestine’ released
13 members of the Thousand Youths for Palestine, who were taken into custody in a house raid for protesting SOCAR for selling oil to Israel, have been released.
News Center- On March 31, members of the Thousand Youths for Palestine organized a protest in front of the headquarters of the Azeri state oil company SOCAR in Istanbul. On Sunday, 13 members of the group were taken into custody in a dawn house raid.
Today, they were referred to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan after a day in custody. The prosecutor requested the release of 12 young people under judicial control and the arrest of one person. The court has ruled the release of 13 young people.
“We took back our friends! What you judge in the courtrooms is not just us, but also the honorable Palestinian resistance! You will not be able to silence the voice of the intifada,” said the Thousand Youths for Palestine on their social media account after the release of their members.
