News Center- Another strong earthquake shook western Afghanistan on Wednesday morning; just days after two quakes of the same magnitude left more than 1,200 dead.

The quake struck 28 kilometers northwest of Herāt, Afghanistan, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The earthquake that struck the country on October 7 was the deadliest earthquake in the last 25 years of the country; at least 2,400 people were killed in the earthquake.

In June 2022, the same area was affected by a 5.9 magnitude earthquake that killed more than 1,000 people.
