Life sentence for killer of Şimoni Diril
The final hearing in the murder trial of Şimoni Diril was held today. Apro Diril has been sentenced to life imprisonment for killing Şimoni Diril, two accused have been acquitted.
News Center- 71-year-old Hürmüz Diril and 65-year-old Şimoni Diril went missing in the Mehre (Kovankaya) village of Şırnak’s Elkê (Beytüşşebap) district on January 10, 2020.
70 days later, the dead body of Şimoni Diril was found in a mountainous place near the village. A lawsuit was opened against Apro Diril, Behçet Öztunç and İsmail Yıldız on charges of “deliberately killing with monstrous feeling”. The 6th hearing of the murder trial was held today by the Şırnak 1st High Criminal Court.
The court has sentenced Apro Diril to life imprisonment on charges of “deliberately killing with monstrous feeling”. Behçet Öztunç and İsmail Yıldız have been acquitted by the court.
