Kongra Star condemns killing of Zeyneb Saroxan
Kongra Start has issued a statement condemning the killing of Zeyneb Saroxan, co-chair of the Justice and Reform Office of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES), in a Turkish drone strike yesterday.
Qamishlo- Yesterday, Turkish drones targeted a vehicle on the Girkê Legê road of the Qamishlo city. Zeyneb Saroxan, co-chair of the Justice and Reform Office of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) lost her life in the drone strike. Kongra Star has issued a press statement condemning the killing of Zeyneb Saroxan.
“They want to break the will of free women”
The statement was read by Rîhan Loqo, a coordinating member of Kongra Star. Condemning the attacks on North and East Syria, Rîhan Loqo said, “ In the last attack, Zeyneb Saroxan and Yılmaz Shero were targeted. We condemn these attacks. Since the spark of the Rojava Revolution was lit, they (Turkey and Turkish-backed factions) have been attacking our region by using all kinds of methods to destroy our revolutionary achievements and to break the will of free women. As they see that the Autonomous Administration is a model for the whole world, they intensify their attacks.”
“Thousands follow their path”
Emphasizing that those who remain silent against these attacks are a party to this crime, Rîham Loqo said that they no longer accept silence. Expressing their condolences to the families of Zeyneb Saroxan and Yılmaz Shero, Rîham Loqo said, “Thousands of women follow the path of Zeyneb, Hevrin, Jiyan, Leyla and Zehra.”
After the statement, women chanted the “Jin, jiyan, azadî (Women, life, freedom)” slogan.
