News Center- Zhina Modarres Gorji, a Kurdish journalist and one of the long-standing and well-known women’s rights activists in Sanandaj, was arrested and taken to an unknown location by Iranian security forces yesterday.

Zhina Modarres Gorji was before arrested in Sanandaj on September 21, 2022 and then released on bail after 40 days of detention in the women’s ward of Sanandaj prison on charges of “propaganda against the state” and “assembly and collusion against national security.”

IRGC Intelligence summoned Zhina Modarres Gorji before her arrest, and the security forces threatened her that if she participated in the protest rallies, “you will never see the sun again.”
