Jailed Iranian activist Fariba Asadi ends her hunger strike
Fariba Asadi, a political prisoner in Iran’s Qarchak Prison, reportedly ended her hunger strike on March 13.
News Center - Fariba Asadi, a political prisoner in Iran’s Qarchak Prison, who was arrested in Tehran and sentenced to a year in prison, went on a hunger strike on February 27, 2022, to protest the torture and threats she was subjected to by other prisoners. The activist reportedly ended her hunger strike on March 13 after prison authorities promised her to transfer her to a prison, where political prisoners are held.
Fariba Asadi was sentenced to one year in prison for propaganda against the regime. On January 3, she was arrested at her house and sent to Qarchak Prison in Varamin City to serve her sentence.
