Israeli airstrikes on building in Maghazi refugee camp kill at least 5

Israeli airstrikes on a building in Gaza’s Maghazi refugee camp killed at least five Palestinians, including Hatem al-Ghamri, the mayor of the camp, on Monday evening.

News Center- The Gaza Media Office has released a statement on Israeli airstrikes targeting a building in Gaza’s Maghazi refugee camp on Monday evening. At least five Palestinians, including Hatem al-Ghamri, the mayor of the camp, were killed and many others injured in the Israeli airstrikes, the statement said.

The statement described the airstrikes as an assassination against Maghazi’s mayor Ghamri and a group of civilians, emphasizing that the airstrikes violated international law and constituted a new episode of Israel's deliberate and pre-planned crimes against the Palestinian people.

‘Israel aims to cause chaos’

The statement indicated that the killing of Maghazi’s mayor was as part of Israel's “Genocidal war” against civilians in the Gaza Strip. “Israel has deliberately targeted civilians to cause chaos and deepen the humanitarian crisis.”

Put pressure on Israel

The statement urged governments to put pressure on Israel to stop its ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people and prosecute Israel according to international laws for its crimes against humanity.
