News Center- Some videos published on social media platforms on Tuesday show the violent arrest of a young woman at Behbahan National Park in Iran’s Khuzestan province for refusing to comply with strict hijab laws under the Noor Project.

The videos show that plainclothes police officers beat the woman after she refused to comply with the laws.

The identity of the woman and the accusations against her are still unknown. Women's rights activists say the woman was then transferred to a headquarters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and she was verbally abused by the security forces before eventually being released.

Iranian security forces have used violence against women for refusing to comply with strict hijab laws under the Noor Project, which was launched in April. In recent months, many women have been beaten, arrested, harassed, and jailed for refusing to comply with the hijab laws in the country.
