Iranian political activist Sepideh Gholian has been sentenced to two years in prison

News Center- Iranian political activist Sepideh Gholian, who was rearrested four hours after being released from prison, has been sentenced to two years in prison on charges of “Chanting slogans against the Iranian government”.

Her brother Mehdi Gholian announced the prison sentence against the activist on his social media account saying, “Yesterday, I learned that my sister, Iranian political prisoner Sepideh Glolian, was sentenced to two years in prison. Despite the prison sentence against her, we are happy that she is alive. We felt very sad when she was rearrested on her way home after she was released from prison. She has been sentenced to two years for chanting slogans against Khamenei.”

On March 14, 2023, Sepideh Glolian was released from Evin Prison. After she was released, she removed her hijab and chanted, “Khamenei, you oppressor, we will bury you in the ground,” in front of the prison.
