Iranian authorities to form teams to enforce mandatory hijab law
Isfahan’s prosecutor Mohammad Moussavian announced on Sunday that teams would be formed against women who remove their hijabs in public places.
News Center- The “Jin, Jiyan, Azadi” protests that sparked in Rojhilat and Iran following the killing of Jina Mahsa Amini, have continued for eight months. The Iranian regime uses all kinds of inhuman practices to quell the nationwide protests. Isfahan’s prosecutor Mohammad Moussavian announced on Sunday that a tripartite memorandum of understanding was signed by the Judiciary, the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC), and the Headquarters for Enforcing Good and Prohibiting Evil to enforce mandatory hijab law.
As part of the memorandum, teams will be formed to identify women who remove their hijabs in public places.
Threats against trade unions
Isfahan’s prosecutor Mohammad Moussavian said, “The owners and managers of the organizations, shops should be held accountable for providing services to those who violate the hijab law. If they continue to provide services to women without hijabs, they will be arrested and a legal case will be filed against them.” The prosecutor also threatened the trade unions, claiming, “Severe action will be taken against the trade unions that do not observe Islamic values.”
