Iran: Student activist Saha Mortezaee subjected sexual assault
Student activist Saha Mortezaee, who was detained and then jailed by the Iranian regime, has been reportedly subjected to sexual assault and torture.

Student activist Saha Mortezaee, former spokesperson of the student council at the Tehran University, was reportedly subjected to sexual assault and torture.
The Student Council has announced that Saha Mortezaee was subjected to sexual assault and violence while she was arrested. In the statement, the council stated that they would not disclose the details of the torture and sexual assault for ethical principles.
Saha Mortezaee was arrested during the protests in 2020 in Iran and sentenced to prison. She was released from prison on bail. She was arrested again this year and sent to Evin Prison, according to the council.
