Iran: Sonia Sharifi released on bail

16-year-old Sonia Sharifi, who was arrested on November 19 for participating in anti-regime protests, has been reportedly released from prison on bail.

News Center- 16-year-old Sonia Sharifi, who was arrested in Ilam, city of Rojhilat, on November 19, has been reportedly released on bail.

Sonia Sharifi was arrested for participating in anti-regime protests on charges of “Attempting to start a civil war in Iran”.

The release of Sonia Sharifi was welcomed with great enthusiasm in the city of Ilam. Taking to the streets, the people danced and chanted the slogan, “Jin, Jiyan, Azadi (English: Women, Life, Freedom)”. They also demanded the release of all prisoners.
