Iran sentences Massoumeh Yavari to 13 years in prison
Former political prisoner Massoumeh Yavari has been sentenced to 13 years in prison by the Revolutionary Court in Golpayegan, Isfahan province of Iran.

Former political prisoner Massoumeh Yavari was sentenced to 13 years in prison by the Revolutionary Court in Golpayegan, Isfahan province of Iran, on Tuesday. If the Court of Appeal upholds the prison sentence against her, Massoumeh Yavari will serve seven years in prison.
45-year-old Massoumeh Yavari has been sentenced to 13 years in prison on charges of “propaganda against the regime” and “collaborating and communicating with hostile governments.”
The agents of the Intelligence Department raided the home of Massoumeh Yavari On September 4, 2023. After searching her home and confiscating her personal belongings, they arrested her.
