Iran: At least 179 Baloch people were executed in 2022
At least 179 Baloch people were executed by Iran in 2022, according to the Baloch Activists Campaign, a Baloch activists’ campaign group based in Sistan and Baluchestan Province of Iran.

On Wednesday, the Baloch Activists Campaign, a Baloch activists’ campaign group based in Sistan and Baluchestan Province of Iran announced that 179 Baloch people were executed by the Iranian regime in 2022.
The statement released by the group said that the Baloch people were executed for false accusations and that non-Persian people face death sentences and long prison sentences in Iran.
The Iran Human Rights (IHR) announced on December 4 that Iran executed more than 500 people in 2022. “Iran executed at least 333 people in 2021,” the Iran Human Rights said.
“At least 179 Baloch people were executed by Iran last year, a third of all executions in the country,” the Baloch Activists Campaign said.
