House raids in Mardin and Şırnak: 12 people detained

12 people have been detained in house raids conducted in Mardin and Şırnak in the morning.

 News Center- Turkish police raided many houses in Mardin’s Artuklu district as part of an investigation launched by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the congress of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Youth Council. Seven people have been detained. The names of detained people are: Ramazan Kalkan, Agit Kalkan, Heja Kalkan, Hividar Taş, Berivan Taş, Fırat Akar, Rojhat Altaş. The detained people will be reportedly taken to Diyarbakır.

 Merve Oğuz and another person, whose name is still unknown, have been detained in a house raid conducted in Kerboran as part of an investigation launched by the Mardin Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

Yesterday, 17 people were detained in house raids conducted in Mardin as part of another investigation. They have been reportedly held at a police station.

Three detained in Hezex

Three young people named Civan Karaviş, Ümit Geçgel and Yusuf Kargol have been detained in the house raids conducted in the Hezex (İdil) district of Şırnak. The detained people have been reportedly held at İdil Police Station while the reason for their detention is still unknown. According to the received reports, the number of detained people may increase.
