Honorary citizenship of Lyon given to Narges Mohammadi

On December 10, 2022, International Human Rights Day, imprisoned Iranian activist Narges Mohammadi was given honorary citizenship of the city of Lyon in France.

News Center - On December 10, 2022, International Human Rights Day, The city of Lyon gave honorary citizenship to imprisoned Iranian activist Narges Mohammadi.

At the ceremony at Lyon City Hall, Kiana and Ali Rahmani accepted the honorary citizenship of Lyon on behalf of their mother. Narges Mohammadi is an Iranian human rights activist and journalist. She has unjustly been held in Iran’s Evin Prison, serving numerous sentences for her human rights work.

At the ceremony, the message of Narges Mohammadi was read. In her message, she highlighted the slogan Jin, Jiyan Azadi.
