According to the received reports, many people, including lawyers, journalists, politicians and artists have been taken into custody. No information has been received about the investigation.
Some of detained people are: Halise Dakalı,Co-chair of the Lawyers Association for Freedom (ÖHD) Diyarbakır Branch; lawyers Özüm Vurgun, Bünyamin Şeker, Berdan Acun and Pirozhan Karali; Sezen Mercan, media advisor of Saliha Aydeniz, Co-chair of the Democratic Regions Party (DBP); Mesopotamia Agency (MA) editor Abdurrahman Gök; MA reporter Ahmet Kanbal; Osman Akın, editor-in-chief of the Yeni Yaşam Newspaper; Kadri Esen, publisher of the Kurdish newspaper Xwebûn; Amed City Theater members Yavuz Akkuzu, Özcan Ateş and Elvan Koçer.
The names of detained politicians are still unknown.
Police also raided the house of Ferhat Çelik, managing editor of Mesopotamia News Agency (MA). Ferhat Çelik was not at home when police raided the house. Police reportedly continue to search his house.
