Halabja Massacre commemorations in Kurdistan Region and NE Syria

Those who were killed in the Halabja Massacre were commemorated in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and North and East Syria.

News Center- Today is the 35th anniversary of the Halabja Massacre, carried out by the Iraqi Ba'athist government under Saddam Hussein on March 16, 1988. In order to mark the 35th anniversary of the massacre, commemorations were held in many cities of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and North and East Syria.

Today at 10.55, the people of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq staged a minute’s silence wherever they were.

The institutions and organizations of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria stopped working and staged a 5-minute silence to commemorate those who were killed in the Halabja Massacre.
