She went missing in Dersim (Tunceli) province, a small city full of surveillance cameras and police blockages. She went missing on January 5, 2020. In a one-year period, Gülistan was claimed to commit suicide and she was searched in the Uzunçayır Dam Lake. All applications of the family remained unanswered. Investigations were opened against those who asked, “Where is Gülistan Doku?” And the key prime suspect Zaynal Abarakov and his family were clearly protected. Zaynal went abroad and a trial was opened against Gülistan’s sister Aygül Doku and she was fined. On January 5, women began to ask “Where is Gülistan Doku” in many cities, particularly in Dersim, to find Gülistan. Women have kept struggling to find her.

Gülistan Doku has been missing for 471 days. Several days ago, her sister Aygül Doku posted a tweet;

“They took my sister from me and I couldn’t help her. This becomes a pain in my heart. I swear that I will never let you, Zaynal Abakarov, to go. You will pay price for all my pains one by one.
