Foreign votes cause Green Left Party to lose three seats in parliament

The votes casted abroad for the presidential and parliamentary elections held on May 14, 2023 in Turkey cause the Green Left Party to lose three seats in the parliament.

News Center- The election results for the presidential and parliamentary elections held in Turkey on May 14, 2023 have not been clear yet due to the objections to the Supreme Election Council (Turkish: Yüksek Seçim Kurulu, YSK). More than 1.8 million casted their votes abroad for the elections. After these votes were added to the election results, the Green Left Party has lost three seats in the parliament, from Riha (Urfa), Êlîh (Batman) and Semsûr (Adıyaman).

HÜDA PAR Spokesperson Serkan Ramanlı, who was a parliamentary candidate from the AKP, has become the AKP MP from Êlîh while Faruk Pınarbaşı has become the AKP MP from Riha.

The Green Left Party has won three seats in the parliament from Colêmerg (Hakkari); However, the AKP keeps objecting to the election results in the city.
