News Center- Political prisoner Figen Yüksekdağ, who has been held in the Kandıra Prison located in Kocaeli province, sent a message through her lawyers to draw attention to the ongoing rights violations in the prison. The routine search carried out in the wards once a month has been carried out every three days, the prisoners are counted twice a day, the wards of prisoners are often changed, and ordinary prisoners and ISIS members have been held in the same wards of political prisoners, her lawyers report. The lawyers also draw attention to that the last counting takes place at midnight and mothers and their children have been negatively affected by this practice.

“The policy to increase tension should be ended”

Figen Yüksekdağ, the former co-chair of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP), sent the following message; “Pressures and tension are increasing in Kandıra F-Type Prison, where we have been held. The ruling party and the Ministry of Justice will be directly responsible for all problems or attacks and losses that will take place in the prison. The ongoing rights violations, pressure, and the policy to increase tension in the prison should be immediately ended.”
