European Court rules Turkey violates 14 HDP MPs’ rights
The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has ruled that Turkey violated the rights of 14 MPs of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP), ordering Turkey to pay 184,600 euros.
News Center- The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has ruled that Turkey violated the right to the freedom of expression and to elect and be elected of 14 MPs of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP), including former HDP Co-chair Figen Yüksekdağ, by arresting them on November 4, 2016.
The court has ordered Turkey to pay 184,600 euros.
