“The human beings should not remain silent to the persecution in front of the courthouse,” Emine Şenyaşar said, appealing to the Turkish Minister of Justice.
Riha - The sit-in protest held in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were murdered in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in the Suruç district of Urfa province on June 14, 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar has entered its 582nd day.
In the morning, the mother and her son came in front of the courthouse to hold their protest despite the police barriers.
“Should we live as if nothing happened? Should we act as if nobody was killed? My son has been kept in a solitary cell for four years. I will go home when justice is delivered. The human beings should not remain silent to the persecution in front of the courthouse,” the Şenyaşar family posted on their social media account by tagging the official accounts of the Turkish Ministry of Justice and Urfa Governorate.
