Emine Şenyaşar: Justice must be secured now

On the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, Emine Şenyaşar draws attention to injustice again in front of the Urfa Courthouse.

Riha - The sit-in protest held in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were murdered in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in the Suruç district of Urfa province on June 14, 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar has entered its 627th day.

In the morning, Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar came in front of the Urfa Courthouse from their home in Suruç to demand justice again.

“My son must be immediately released”

Making a speech in front of the courthouse, Emine Şenyaşar said, “We want justice. I have been seeking justice for two years. My son (Fadıl Şenyaşar) has been kept in a solitary cell for four years. My son must be immediately released (from prison). I demand justice for everyone. I cannot sit at home despite the rain and cold weather. Justice must be secured now.”

“JUSTICE for all women, who are subjected to violence and who are imprisoned despite they are innocent, and the mother (Emine Şenyaşar) who has been fighting for justice despite her health problems!
