“I do not give my blessing to those who use the judiciary as a stick,” the Şenyaşar family wrote on their social media account.

 Riha - The sit-in protest held in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were murdered in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in the Suruç (Kurdish: Pirsûs) district of Urfa province on June 14, 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar continues on its 708th day.

Today, Emine Şenyaşar stays at her home in Suruç due to her health problems. Her son Ferit Şenyaşar came in front of the courthouse in the morning to hold their sit-in protest for justice.

Today’s social media post of the Şenyaşar family said, “A mother has been holding a sit-in protest in front of the courthouse for 708 days. She only demands justice from the authorities. There is no resignation! No apologies! No shame! There is someone asking for the blessing. I do not give my blessing to those who use the judiciary as a stick.”
