Remains of Menfiyat Elçiçek delivered to her family in box after 5 years
The remains of YJA-STAR guerilla Menfiyat Elçiçek, who lost her life in a clash that broke out in 2018, was delivered to her family in a box.
News Center- Menfiyat Elçiçek (nom de guerre: Axin Seydo), guerilla of the Free Women's Units (YJA STAR) he women's military wing of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), lost her life in a clash broke out in the Kato region of Colemêrg (Hakkari) on September 14, 2018.
Her family received a phone call from the Hakkari Police Department requesting the family to give a DNA sample to identify their daughter. However, Menfiyat Elçiçek was buried in Colemêrg without informing her family despite the DNA test.
On November 29, 2023, the family received another phone call from the Hakkari Police Department. The family was told that the remains of Menfiyat Elçiçek were in the Forensic Medicine Institution (ATK) in Istanbul. When the family went to the ATK, the remains of Menfiyat Elçiçek were delivered to them in a box.
Menfiyat Elçiçek was buried in the Hezex (İdil) district of Şırnak, her hometown, by her family.
