Makhmour- Since November 27, the Turkish state and Turkish-backed factions have been carrying out genocidal attacks on North and East Syria. People in four parts of Kurdistan condemn the attacks, calling on the Kurdish people to raise their voices against the attacks.

“We have been subjected to attacks by the Turkish state and its partner KDP for years,” said women living in the Martyr Rustem Cudi Camp (Makhmour refugee camp), condemning the recent attacks on North and East Syria and expressing their solidarity with the people of Rojava.

‘We will not bow down to the attacks’

Qîmet Ünver, a resident of the camp, expressed her solidarity with the people of North and East Syria, saying: “The attacks on Rojava Kurdistan have been continuing for years. In four parts of Kurdistan, the Kurdish people are subjected to all kinds of genocidal policies and attacks by the Turkish state. Especially since the 1990s, attacks and genocidal policies against the Kurdish people have intensified. As women living in the Makhmour refugee camp, we have gone through very difficult times. We stand with our people to the end because we have the same pain and wounds. We will do our best for the people of Rojava Kurdistan. We have never bowed down to the attacks and we will not bow down to them.”

‘Kurdish people must raise their voices against the attacks’

Qîmet Ünver called on all Kurdish people to raise their voices everywhere against the attacks. “We will keep fighting against the attacks in four parts of Kurdistan. The Kurdish people must raise their voices against the attacks by being in solidarity with each other. We also call on all people, organizations and movements defending democracy and the Kurdish people to rise up.”

 ‘Our people resist the attacks with the thoughts and philosophy of our leader’

“The attacks of the Turkish state and Turkish-backed factions are the attacks against all Kurdish people,” said Sarya Marînos, another resident of the camp. “The Kurdish people have been subjected to attacks for years. The recent attacks on Rojava Kurdistan have been carried out in cooperation with international forces. The aim of the attacks is to commit genocide against the Kurdish people and destroy the gains of the revolution in Rojava Kurdistan. The system of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria embraces people from different nationalities and regions. Our people resist the attacks with the thoughts and philosophy of our leader (Abdullah Öcalan). The Turkish state attacks all people of Rojava to prevent the spread of his thoughts and philosophy and destroy the system based on democracy.”

‘As Kurdish mothers, we stand with the people of Rojava’

The attacks cannot block the legitimate struggle of the Kurdish people, Sarya Marînos emphasized. “As the people of Makhmour refugee camp, we support the people of Rojava and condemn the inhumane and brutal attacks of the Turkish state and Turkish-backed factions. We will keep fighting until the physical freedom of leader Apo and the freedom of all humanity is guaranteed. As Kurdish mothers, we stand with the people of Rojava.”
