News Center- Atefeh Rangriz, a women’s rights activist, was temporarily released from Shahroud prison on Wednesday to receive treatment.
According to the received reports, she has been released from the prison for four days to receive treatment outside of the prison.
On September 10, 2023, Atefeh Rangriz, a resident of Damghan, Semnan, was arrested by Iranian security forces in Damghan. On October 21, she was released on bail. On June 29, 2024, she was arrested again after being sentenced to two years, seven months, and sixteen days on charges of “collaborating and being a member of opposition groups” and to seven months and sixteen days on charges of “propaganda against the regime”. She was transferred to Shahroud prison to serve her prison sentence.
