At least 71 children die in Turkey in April, report says
In Turkey, 71 children died of preventable causes in April, the report released by the FİSA Center for Children’s Rights says.
News Center- The FİSA Center for Children’s Rights has released an information note about “Violation of Children's Right to Life" in April. At least 71 children died of preventable causes in April. 24 of the children who died in April were girls, 45 were boys and the gender of two children could not be determined, the report says.

24 children died as a result of road traffic crashes, the report says, adding, “12 children died after drowning in irrigation canals, ponds and streams due to hot weather. Five of the children were refugees from Syria and Iraq. The number of the children, who lost their lives in April due to violence, is four.”
