News Center- The Asrin Law Office has issued a written statement on the false and manipulative discourses against Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan, who has been isolated in the prison island of Imrali for 26 years.

 Abdullah Öcalan has been waging a relentless struggle although he has been isolated from the world, the statement stressed, adding:

“In recent days, we have witnessed how our client, Mr. Abdullah Öcalan has made great efforts to fulfill his historical role in the construction of an equal, free and democratic common life. Despite the ongoing isolation imposed on him, he has been waging a relentless struggle to ensure an honorable peace against those who gain strength from polarization and the unsolved Kurdish question.

The statement criticized the false and manipulative discourses against Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan. “Instead of thinking of how they can contribute to a democratic solution in such a historical and sensitive period, they display manipulative approaches based on lies without respect. We also know that these low-quality discussions and discourses on channels or social media platforms in the name of understanding the process aim to undermine the efforts for peace and solution. Such approaches are against the personality of Mr.Öcalan, his power for solution and his ideology based on freedom that has spread all over the world with the Jin, Jîyan, Azadî philosophy. Therefore, we call on everyone to display a positive attitude and make efforts to have a democratic and peaceful life.”
