Armored vehicle injures 5-year-old child in Silopi

An armored vehicle hit and injured a 5-year-old child, who was playing in front of his house in Silopi.

 News Center- Last evening, an armored vehicle hit and injured a 5-year-old child, who was playing in front of his house in the Silopi district of Şırnak province.

 According to the local sources, the child was taken to the Silopi State Hospital after the incident and has broken bones. Then, the child was transferred to a private hospital in Elaziğ against the risk of internal bleeding. The child has been held in the intensive care unit.

The perpetrators have gone unpunished

Armored vehicles killed 42 people, including 20 children, and injured 90 people, including 21 children in Turkey between 2018 and 2021, according to the report released by the Human Rights Association (IHD) Diyarbakır branch. Most of the incidents were recorded as “accident” and the perpetrators have gone unpunished.
