Activities of Sara Organization for November 25 announced

The Sara Organization, which launched an awareness-raising campaign on October 17, will hold activities in North and East Syria until December 10.

Hasakah- The Sara Organization, a women’s organization in NE Syria, launched a campaign on October 17 as part of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. The organization has announced that their campaign will continue until December 10.

The organization issued a press statement to give information about the campaign. Fereh Mihemed Bisês read the statement on behalf of the organization. She said that they initiated the campaign on October 17 and that the campaign will continue until December 10, Human Rights Day. Fereh Mihemed Bisês reported that they will hang Kurdish, Arabic, Syriac, Armenian and English banners in cities to raise awareness and draw attention to the violence against women. The organization will also hold seminars on the effects of gender-based violence, child marriage and polygamy.

The aim is to raise awareness

Fereh Mihemed Bisês pointed out that people can eliminate gender-based violence, attacks and all kinds of crimes against women if they unite. “Our main aim is to raise awareness against gender-based violence. We will carry out activities to change our society,” she said.

The press statement ended after the women chanted the slogan, “Jin, Jiyan, Azadi (Women, Life, Freedom)”.
