Riha - The sit-in protest held in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were murdered in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in the Suruç district of Urfa province on June 14, 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar has entered its 570th day.

Today, Emine Şenyaşar has stayed at her home in Suruç due to her health problems. Her son Ferit Şenyaşar came in front of the courthouse in the morning to hold the sit-in protest by unfurling a banner reading, “Justice for the Şenyaşar family, justice for everyone”.

“Secure the justice”

Last night, Turkey’s President Erdoğan attended a TV program and said, “About reconciliation, if there is such a problem, I am always ready for reconciliation.” Responding to this statement, Ferit Şenyaşar said, “The mother has called on the authorities to ‘secure the justice’ many times. Now, the authorities talk about reconciliation. Reconciliation without seeing the mother? The demand of the mother is the demand of millions. The mother demands justice. The elections are approaching. If justice is not secured, everyone will shout the demand of the mother at the election rallies. The mother is sick and she must be treated. No human being can remain unresponsive to her demand.”

“No reconciliation without justice”

“The mother’s struggle for justice continues in front of the Urfa Courthouse on its 570th day. No reconciliation without justice,” the Şenyaşar family posted on their social media account by tagging the official accounts of Turkey’s President Erdoğan and Justice Minister Bekir Bozdağ.
