Riha - The sit-in protest held in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were murdered in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in the Suruç district of Urfa province on June 14, 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar has entered its 500th day.

Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar came in front of the Urfa Courthouse from their home in Suruç in the morning to demand justice for their killed relatives and the release of Fadıl Şenyaşar, who has been kept in a solitary cell for more than four years.

The Urfa branches of the Human Rights Association (IHD) and Lawyers Association for Freedom (ÖHD) will issue a statement supporting the protest of the Şenyaşar family today in front of the Urfa Courthouse at 17:00.

“We have been struggling for rights for 500 days by standing in the right place. Our sit-in protest will continue until justice is delivered. Justice for the Şenyaşar family, justice for everyone,” the Şenyaşar family wrote on their social media account today.
