Şenyaşar family casts vote

On the 783rd day of their sit-in protest, Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar casted their votes for the presidential and parliamentary elections in Turkey, saying, “We have done our duty for a democratic future.”

Riha- Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, whose relatives were murdered by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in Pirsûs (Turkish: Suruç) district of Urfa province on June 14, 2018, have casted their votes.

After Green Left Party’s Urfa parliamentary candidate Ferit Şenyaşar casted his vote, he said, “We have done our duty for justice, for a democratic future. No office or position is more important than human life. We hope these elections will end without any problem and that we make a change.”
