Şenyaşar family calls for attendance at hearing on January 17

On the 674th day of their sit-in protest for justice, the Şenyaşar family called for attendance at the first hearing of murder trial to be held on January 17.

Riha - The sit-in protest held in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were murdered in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in the Suruç (Kurdish: Pirsûs) district of Urfa province on June 14, 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar has entered its 674th day.

Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar came in front of the courthouse in the morning and started holding their sit-in protest for justice by unfurling a banner reading, “JUSTICE”.

‘Our demand is JUSTICE’

“The mother’s struggle for justice continues on its 674th day in Urfa. The hearing of the massacre took place at the hospital will be held in Malatya on January 17. ‘Killing defenseless people at the hospital is a crime against humanity.’ We call on everyone who says they are human beings to attend the hearing. Our demand is JUSTICE,” the Şenyaşar family posted today on their social media account.
