News Center- The dead body of a Gabonese student named Jeannah Danys Dinabongho Ibouanga (17) was found in the Filyos River in Karabük on March 26, 2023. An investigation was launched into her death by the Karabük Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. As part of the investigation, nine people, three of whom were foreigners, were arrested. 

According to the received reports, six of them have been released after being interrogated at the police station while three have been released under judicial control by the court.

According to the initial autopsy report, she had drowned and that there were no signs of violence or sexual abuse on her body. Then, a security camera footage showing Jeannah Danys Dinabongho Ibouanga running barefoot on the street at night, on the day when she went missing, was released.

The investigation into the death of the Gabonese student is still going on.
