News Center- Journalists Yasin Akgül, Ali Onur Tosun, Bülent Kılıç, Zeynep Kuray, Kurtuluş Arı, Gökhan Kam and Hayri Tunç were detained in raid house raids in Istanbul on March 25, 2025 for covering the protests that sparked in Istanbul following the investigation launched into the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB). The prosecutor first ordered the release of the seven journalists under judicial control but later ordered the journalists to be referred to the Criminal Court of Peace, demanding the pre-detention of the journalists.
