358th day of sit-in protest for justice

Emine Şenyaşar has kept holding her sit-in protest for exactly 358 days despite being ignored and all the pressures.

Riha- The sit-in protest held in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were killed in the attack carried out on June 14, 2018, in Suruç by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who survived the attack, has entered its 358th day.

The family came in front of the courthouse in the morning to keep holding their protest. The police warned the family of leaving the corner, also called, “Justice Corner of the Şenyaşar family.” But the family told them they would keep holding their protest there.

“People are as valuable as they resist oppression and injustice. Our struggle for justice and rights continues in front of the Şanlıurfa Courthouse on its 358th day,” the Şenyaşar family posted on their social media account today.
