News Center- Israel has carried out attacks targeting civilian infrastructure, including hospitals and schools since October 7, 2023. The Israeli army killed 200 Palestinians and injured 370 others over the past 24 hours, the Gaza’s health ministry said in a press statement. 25,900 Palestinians have been killed, 64,110 have been injured in Israel’s war on Gaza since October 7, according to the statement.

‘Israel army committed genocidal crimes’

The statement also said that the Israel army committed genocidal crimes in the shelters of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) and that the Israel army besieged the hospitals in Khan Younis and hindered the movement of ambulances. The ministry said that Israeli fire had hit a large group of Palestinians waiting to receive humanitarian aid in Gaza City, killing at least 20 people and injuring at least 150.

The ministry called on the International Committee of the Red Cross and United Nations institutions to protect local hospitals, and step up the delivery of medicines, food and fuel, among other humanitarian aid.

“Israel uses starvation as a weapon to commit genocidal crimes,” said Palestinian Health Ministry Spokesperson Ashraf al-Qudra in the statement.

ICRC: Gaza at risk of complete medical shut down without urgent action to preserve services

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) issued a written statement saying that Gaza is at the risk of complete medical shut down without urgent action to preserve services. “The parties to the conflict and all who have influence upon them must take immediate steps to ensure the hospitals and the people within them are safe; to ensure that health personnel, wounded and sick people, and the ambulances can safely access the hospital; and to facilitate the timely re-supply of items necessary to the functioning of the hospitals including medicine, fuel, food and water,” said the statement.
