197 people killed in attacks by ISIS in Syrian desert since early 2024

197 people, including 34 civilians, have been killed in the attacks by ISIS in the Syrian desert since early 2024, the Syrian Observatory For Human Rights (SOHR) reported on Sunday.

News Center- The Syrian Observatory For Human Rights (SOHR) published statistics on the number of fatalities in military operations in the Syrian desert since early 2024. 197 people, including 34 civilians, have been killed in the attacks by ISIS in the Syrian desert early 2024, according to SOHR statistics.

 “141 members of regime forces and their proxy militias, including 14 Iranian-backed Syrian militiamen, were killed in 71 operations by ISIS members, including ambushes, armed attacks, and explosions, in west Euphrates region and the deserts of Deir Ezzor, Al-Raqqah, Homs,” the SOHR said on Sunday.

According to the SOHR statistics, 22 ISIS members have been killed by regime forces and their proxy militias since early 2024.

The SOHR statistics are as follows:

Deir Ezzor desert: 24 operations left 69 fatalities: 47 combatants, including seven Iranian-backed militia. Five ISIS members. 17 civilians, including two truffle pickers.

Homs desert: 34 operations left 72 fatalities: 54 combatants, including three Iranian-backed militia. 14 ISIS members. 10 civilians.

Al-Raqqah desert: Six operations left 18 fatalities: 15 combatants. Three ISIS members.

Hama desert: Six operations left 24 fatalities: 17 combatants, including a member of Iranian-backed militias. Seven civilians, including a child.

Aleppo: One operation left three Iranian-backed militia dead.
