News Center- The 12th Sakine Cansız Women’s Festival, a festival annually organized in memory of Sakine Cansız (Sara), one of the founders of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) who was murdered in France, will be held at the Kasernenareal Park in Zurich, Switzerland, on June 28, 2025.

The festival will be organized by the Swiss Kurdish Women's Union (Kurdish: Yekitiya Jinen Siwisra, YJK-S) with the support of many women's organizations. At the festival, women musicians Sasa Serap, Jala, Zerifa Zerrin, Gulan, Silav Rojava, Awaze Mitra and Koma Erbane of the Mizgîn Cultural Movement will take the stage. A women's dance group and the Swiss Kurdish Folklore Group will also perform at the festival.

Many activities will be organized for children at the festival.
