1,200 people demand revocation of death sentences for two Kurdish women

News Center- 1,200 people from 44 countries have published a joint statement, calling on feminist, civil society and human rights organizations and networks to raise their voice against the death penalty in Iran.
In the statement, the signatories also called on the organizations and networks to put pressure on the Iran authorities to revoke the death sentences handed down to journalist Pakhshan Azizi and activist Verisheh (Warisha) Moradi. “Women’s organizations must be in solidarity with women of Iran against the death penalty. They should use every opportunity to hold the Iranian authorities responsible for using executions as a tool of political repression and terror.”
