Egyptian actress Maha Abou Ouf dies at 65

Egyptian actress Maha Abou Ouf died on Thursday (January 6) after her battle with cancer.

Cairo- Maha Abou Ouf was born in 1959 in Cairo into a family of artists. She graduated from the American University in Cairo (AUC). She began her career in the arts as part of a band named “The Four M” that she formed with her brother and sisters. The band was famous in the late seventies and eighties. One of the most famous songs of the band is “El Leila El Kebeera”.
Maha Abou Ouf produced more than 130 works in her life. Her most recognized work was in the comedy Ragel w Set Setat with Ashraf Abdel Baqi. Her last acting role was in a series called Hareer Moukhmalie (The Velvet Silk), which also features Egyptian stars Mostafa Fahmy, Dalia Mostafa, and Ahmed Wafik.
